**Kolkata, Oct 5 (PTI)** – Mohun Bagan secured a dominant 3-0 victory over city rivals Mohammedan Sporting in the Kolkata Derby on Saturday, returning to winning ways before the international break.
The reigning champions showcased a commanding performance, scoring three goals in the first half through Jamie Maclaren, Subhasish Bose, and Greg Stewart. Maclaren opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a header from a corner, putting the Mariners in control.
Mohun Bagan continued to press, exhibiting fluidity and precision in their attacking play. Stewart’s freekick found Bose in the penalty area, leading to a powerful header that doubled the lead in the 31st minute.
