**Gwalior, India:** India made a triumphant return to international cricket in Gwalior after a 14-year hiatus, defeating Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the first T20I of the three-match series on Friday. The victory gives India a 1-0 lead in the series.
The Indian team showcased a dominant performance, chasing down a target of 128 runs in just 11.5 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Hardik Pandya led the charge with a blistering unbeaten 39 runs off just 16 balls, while Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav contributed 29 runs each. Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy added 16 runs each, with Reddy remaining unbeaten.
Earlier, Bangladesh struggled to post a competitive total, getting bowled out for 127 runs in 19.4 overs. Varun Chakravarthy and Arshdeep Singh starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets each. Hardik Pandya, Mayank Yadav, and Washington Sundar bagged a wicket each.
