**TRIPOLI, LEBANON** – The leader of Hamas’s armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, Sayyed Attullah Ali, was killed in an airstrike in Lebanon on Saturday morning, according to Reuters and Hamas’s official Telegram channel.
Three of Ali’s family members were also killed in the strike, which targeted his home in the Palestinian refugee camp in Dawi, Tripoli, in northern Lebanon. Hamas mourned Ali and his family, calling the incident a “bombing” and accusing an unnamed party of carrying out the attack.
The circumstances of the strike and the identity of the perpetrators remain unclear.
