**BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6** – The Azerbaijani Army’s “Iron Fist” counteroffensive, launched on September 27, 2020, continues to liberate territories occupied by Armenia for nearly 30 years.

On the 11th day of the Second Karabakh War, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev gave an interview to Russian Perviy Kanal TV and received a delegation led by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported significant successes, including the destruction of a central Armenian ammunition depot in Ballija settlement, two BM-21 Grad rocket launchers, and D-20 artillery units. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed his country’s support for Azerbaijan’s liberation efforts.

Further evidence of Azerbaijani gains was showcased through footage of the liberated Chakhyrly village in the Jabrayil district and captured Armenian armored vehicles.

However, the conflict remains volatile. Armenian forces shelled Azerbaijani districts, injuring an emergency services employee. The Azerbaijani parliament approved the restoration of the historical name Sugovushan to the liberated Madagiz village.

Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov warned that if Armenia used Iskander missiles, Azerbaijan would respond appropriately. The State Security Service intercepted communication between mercenaries fighting alongside Armenian forces, and two were neutralized.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense released further footage of captured Armenian armored vehicles and a destroyed ammunition depot. The Armenian soldiers were reportedly forced to flee their positions due to the intensity of the Azerbaijani offensive.

The 44-day war ultimately resulted in the liberation of all occupied territories, marking a decisive victory for Azerbaijan.
