**GUWAHATI, INDIA** – Assam Police apprehended an illegal Bangladeshi national near the International border today. The individual, identified as Md. Nahid Hussain from Madiripur, Dhaka, was apprehended while attempting to cross into India. This arrest brings the total number of illegal Bangladeshi nationals apprehended in Assam to 108 so far.

Assam Police continue to maintain a heightened alert along the border to prevent illegal immigration. The force has been actively patrolling the region and conducting operations to apprehend individuals attempting to cross the border illegally.
