Sat Oct 05 17:01:00 UTC 2024: ## Lost Music of English Composer to Be Performed in Portugal for First Time

**Caldas da Rainha, Portugal -** The previously unheard works of English composer Arthur Lionel Trump will be performed for the first time in public on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at the Museu José Malhoa in Caldas da Rainha. The event will feature renowned musicians Inês Andrade on Piano, Soprano Angela Silva, and Hilary Alper on Cello, all under the direction of producer Duncan Fox.

Trump, born in Bridport, England in 1893, was forced to abandon his musical ambitions by his father, who insisted he pursue a different career. Despite this, Trump composed a significant body of work, mostly solo piano pieces, during his 12 years in South America. His music reflects his experiences, ranging from nostalgia for his homeland to interpretations of the sounds and landscapes of South America and pieces inspired by love.

The performance, a long-held dream of Trump’s four grandchildren, aims to preserve his musical legacy and introduce his unique voice to the world. The recital will take place from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Museu José Malhoa, Parque Dom Carlos 1, in Caldas da Rainha.
