**New Delhi:** In a significant move to bolster farmer income, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in Washim, Maharashtra. The scheme benefited over 9 crore farmers across the country with a total of Rs. 20,000 crore disbursed directly into their bank accounts.

The 17th installment was released in June 2024 during PM Modi’s visit to Varanasi, when over Rs. 21,000 crore was transferred to the accounts of more than 9.26 crore farmers.

The PM-KISAN scheme provides financial assistance to eligible farmers by transferring Rs. 2,000 every four months, totaling Rs. 6,000 per year. This scheme aims to improve the financial well-being of farmers and support their agricultural activities.

Farmers can verify their 18th installment status by visiting the official PM-KISAN website (pmkisan.gov.in) and clicking on the ‘Know Your Status’ tab. They need to enter their registration number and captcha code to access their status.

To check if their name is included in the beneficiary list, farmers can click on the ‘Beneficiary List’ tab on the website. By entering state, district, block, and village information, they can access the complete beneficiary list.
