**New Delhi, October 5, 2024:** The 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was released today, benefiting over 9.4 crore farmers across India. Each eligible farmer received ₹2,000, amounting to a total of ₹20,000 crore transferred directly into their bank accounts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the disbursement of the installment from Washim, Maharashtra. The PM-KISAN scheme, launched to provide financial support to farmers, offers an annual assistance of ₹6,000 in three equal installments.

**How to Check Your Status:**

Farmers can check their beneficiary status on the official PM-KISAN website (pmkisan.gov.in). They can click on the ‘Know Your Status’ tab, enter their registration number and captcha code, and click ‘Get Data’.

**To Check Beneficiary List:**

Farmers can also find their name in the beneficiary list by clicking on the ‘Beneficiary List’ tab and selecting their state, district, block, and village.

**e-KYC Mandatory:**

It is mandatory for farmers to complete their e-KYC to avail the benefits of the scheme. This can be done online through OTP-based e-KYC or by visiting a nearby Common Service Center (CSC) for biometric e-KYC.

**How to Apply:**

New farmers can apply for the scheme by clicking on ‘New Farmer Registration’, entering their Aadhaar number, filling out the required information, and saving the application. The application will then undergo verification, after which their name will be added to the beneficiary list.
