Sat Oct 05 12:33:10 UTC 2024: ## Nissan Magnite Facelift Launches in India, Offering Competitive Value in Compact SUV Segment
**New Delhi, India** – Nissan has launched the updated Magnite compact SUV in India, aiming to capture a slice of the popular sub-4 meter SUV market. Available at an attractive price point of Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the Magnite stands out as a budget-friendly alternative to established rivals like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, and Maruti Fronx.
The new Magnite is powered by a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. The naturally-aspirated version delivers 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, while the turbocharged variant boasts 99bhp and 160Nm of torque (152Nm with automatic transmission). Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, an AMT (with the naturally-aspirated engine), and a CVT automatic (with the turbocharged engine).
Despite its competitive pricing, the Magnite doesn’t compromise on features and space. It measures 3994mm in length, 1758mm in width, and 1572mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2500mm. This translates to a spacious cabin and a 336-liter boot, providing ample room for passengers and luggage.
The Magnite faces strong competition in a segment packed with capable rivals. The Kia Sonet (Rs 8 lakh to Rs 14.92 lakh), Hyundai Venue (Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.53 lakh), Renault Kiger (Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.23 lakh), and Maruti Fronx (Rs 7.51 lakh to Rs 13.04 lakh) all offer compelling features and engine options. However, Nissan hopes that the Magnite’s competitive pricing, spacious interior, and fuel-efficient engine options will make it a compelling choice for budget-conscious buyers in the Indian market.
