Fri Oct 04 23:57:00 UTC 2024: ## Weymouth Goalkeeper Credits Team Spirit for Improved Form

Weymouth’s on-loan goalkeeper, Will Buse, has attributed the team’s recent uptick in form to the strong bond within the squad. The young keeper, who joined the Terras in September from Yeovil Town, has impressed since his arrival, contributing to a string of solid performances.

“The lads welcomed me in from day one,” Buse told Weymouth’s media team, “I’ve already played with a few of them, and I knew Brooklyn (Genesini) from school. It’s been enjoyable going into the changing room seeing people I already know. It’s just like playing football with your mates.”

Buse further emphasized the importance of team unity in overcoming recent setbacks. “It’s just the result of a couple of unlucky losses,” he explained, “but our form is picking up and we are heading up the table. This is a tight and together squad, which helps when going through those sticky patches. To us, any noise from outside the team is white noise. We know some of the results haven’t been good enough, but we’re turning things around and getting stronger. Mark (Molesley, the manager) has created the togetherness in the squad.”

The goalkeeper, who considers keeping a clean sheet as rewarding as scoring a goal, is confident the team will continue to climb the table. “My job is to keep getting clean sheets, or at least concede as little as possible while the strikers will do the business at the other end, and then the points will start flowing,” he said. “Knowing that you and your defenders can walk off the pitch having not conceded, there’s no better feeling.”

With his focus on strong performances and a strong sense of camaraderie within the team, Will Buse looks set to be a key player for Weymouth as they aim for a successful season.
