Sat Oct 05 16:51:34 UTC 2024: ## Villa Favored to Spoil Ipswich’s Home Debut

**Ipswich Town** will be looking to finally secure their first victory of the season when they host **Aston Villa** on Sunday, but the Tractor Boys face a tough task against a confident and in-form Villa side.

Ipswich have shown resilience, drawing their last three matches after opening losses to Liverpool and Manchester City. However, they’ve yet to find the back of the net in their last two games, and a trip to Villa Park could prove a difficult test.

Villa, meanwhile, have won four of their opening five Premier League matches, most recently defeating Wolves 3-1. They’re brimming with attacking threat, with Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins in particular displaying impressive form.

Despite a midweek Carabao Cup victory and a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Wednesday, Villa are expected to have enough depth and quality to handle the newly-promoted Ipswich.

The Tractor Boys will likely be without midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who missed their last match with a thigh injury.

Villa will be without John McGinn, who sustained a hamstring injury in their last match. Diego Carlos could return after missing the Wycombe match due to a warm-up injury, but Jaden Philogene and Matty Cash remain sidelined.

While Ipswich will be hoping for a first win, the odds seem stacked against them, with a well-drilled and attacking Villa side favored to secure a victory.
