Italy national team manager Luciano Spalletti has named a 23-player squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Belgium and Israel in October, including five uncapped players.
Among the newcomers are Milan centre-back **Matteo Gabbia**, who has impressed in his starting role for Paulo Fonseca’s side, and Juventus goalkeeper **Michele Di Gregorio**, who replaces the injured Alex Meret.
Other uncapped players included in the squad are Leicester City’s **Caleb Okoli**, who was also called up for the September fixtures, Roma’s **Niccolo Pisilli**, and Monza’s **Daniel Maldini**, son of Azzurri legend Paolo Maldini.
Italy will face Belgium at the Stadio Olimpico on October 10, before hosting Israel in Udine four days later.
