**Mumbai, India:** A 17-year-old girl tragically took her own life in Mahim, Mumbai on Friday. The girl, who had been struggling with depression for the past two years, was found hanging in her apartment at Burhani Mansion in Kapad Bazar.

Police officials confirmed that the girl had been receiving treatment for her depression and had been staying at home since its onset. She had been experiencing panic attacks due to her condition.

On the morning of the incident, she informed her sister, who lives nearby, that she was feeling unwell. While her sister went to her home, and their mother stepped out for errands, the girl tragically ended her own life.

A case of accidental death has been registered at the Mahim police station.
