Sat Oct 05 10:03:02 UTC 2024: ## Arvind Kejriwal Moves to AAP MP Ashok Mittal’s Residence after Resigning as Delhi CM

**New Delhi, October 4, 2024:** Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has shifted to a new residence in the heart of Delhi’s Lutyens’ Zone. Kejriwal, along with his family, has moved into Bungalow No. 5 on Ferozeshah Road, previously allotted to Punjab AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal. This residence is located close to the AAP headquarters.

Kejriwal resigned as the Delhi Chief Minister after spending five months in Tihar Jail for alleged involvement in an excise policy scam. He has stated that he will return to the position only after seeking a “certificate of honesty” from the people in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February next year.

The move to Mittal’s residence follows offers of accommodation by several AAP leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and councilors, after Kejriwal decided to leave his official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines, North Delhi, where he had resided since 2015.

“Kejriwal will be staying at the residence of AAP MP Ashok Mittal on Ferozeshah Road, No. 5, from Friday,” confirmed AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj.

Mittal expressed his happiness at accommodating Kejriwal, stating that he had offered his Delhi residence to him after his resignation. “I was concerned that he would have no place to stay after resigning. I was very happy when he accepted my offer,” he stated in a video message.

Kejriwal is now preparing to oversee AAP’s campaign for the upcoming elections in Delhi and other states. Meanwhile, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who recently completed his jail term in connection with the excise policy case, has shifted to a bungalow on Rajendra Prasad Road. This bungalow was previously allotted to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh.

Sisodia had been living at the AB-17 bungalow on Mathura Road, which was previously allotted to him. However, following his arrest in March 2023, the bungalow was re-allotted to the current Chief Minister, Atishi.

Atishi, who recently received Z-category security, is yet to finalize her new residence. She may remain at the Mathura Road residence or move to the bungalow on 6 Flagstaff Road, according to party leaders.
