Sat Oct 05 15:50:59 UTC 2024: ## Former Delhi CM Kejriwal Vacates Official Residence, Moves to Private Bungalow

**New Delhi, October 4, 2024:** Arvind Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister of Delhi, vacated his official residence on Friday and moved to a private bungalow in Lutyens Delhi, along with his wife, parents, and children. This follows his release on bail by the Supreme Court in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam case.

Kejriwal, who is also the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, has been under constant pressure from the BJP, which has accused him of illegally occupying the government bungalow after losing power. He has vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that he was entitled to the accommodation as a former Chief Minister.

Sources close to Kejriwal reveal that he has moved into a bungalow located on No. 5, Perozshah Road, near Mandi House. The property was previously allotted to Raghav Chadha, the Aam Aadmi Party MP from Punjab.

Kejriwal has pledged to only accept the Chief Minister’s post if the Aam Aadmi Party wins the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February next year.

The move comes as a major blow to the BJP, who had been hoping to capitalize on Kejriwal’s legal troubles. The move may also be seen as a shrewd political tactic by Kejriwal, signaling a renewed focus on the upcoming elections.
