Sat Oct 05 11:48:41 UTC 2024: ## Haryana Assembly Elections: Voting Underway, Nuh Witnesses Violence

**Haryana:** Voting for the 90 assembly seats in Haryana is underway, with 54.3% turnout recorded by the Election Commission till 4 pm. Yamanunagar saw the highest turnout at 63%, followed by Nuh (60.6%) and Kaithal (60.4%). The lowest turnout was recorded at 44.2%.

Over 1.1 crore voters have cast their ballots so far. Voting will continue till 6 pm, with the results expected on October 8th.

However, the voting process in Nuh was marred by violence at three locations. Supporters of Congress, INLD-BSP, and independent candidates clashed, leading to stone pelting that injured two people. Police have deployed forces in Chandeni, Khwaja Kalan, and Gulalata to control the situation. DSP Surender has also visited the affected villages.

Meanwhile, BJP MP from Kurukshetra, Naveen Jindal, cast his vote riding a horse.
