The ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup is set to begin in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 3rd. The tournament will feature 10 teams, divided into two groups.
The opening day will see Bangladesh face Scotland in Sharjah at 3:30 PM IST, followed by Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka in the same venue at 7:30 PM IST.
India’s campaign begins on Friday, October 4th, with a clash against New Zealand in Dubai at 7:30 PM IST. The Indian team will be looking to go one better than their previous performance in the tournament, where they reached the final in 2020.
Reigning champions Australia, who have won the last three editions and all but two editions in the tournament’s history, will be aiming for their seventh title. They begin their campaign on Saturday, October 5th, against Sri Lanka in Sharjah at 3:30 PM IST.
The tournament will be a battle for supremacy between the top cricketing nations, with the semi-finals scheduled for October 17th and 18th in Dubai and Sharjah respectively. The final will be played in Dubai on October 20th.
