**Houston, TX** – NASA astronaut Jessica Williams’ return to Earth has been postponed until February 2025, after the scheduled docking of the SpaceX Crew-9 spacecraft. The delay stems from technical issues with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, which was initially intended to bring Williams home.

Starliner encountered multiple problems, including thruster malfunctions and helium leaks, rendering it unsafe for crewed return. As a result, SpaceX’s Crew-9 mission was deployed to the International Space Station (ISS) to serve as a backup return option.
