
Fri Oct 04 14:36:20 UTC 2024: ## SSC CGL Tier 1 Provisional Answer Key Released: Candidates Can Raise Objections Till October 6
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the provisional answer key for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam. Candidates who appeared for the exam can access the answer key on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.
Candidates have until October 6 to raise objections against the provisional answer key. The Commission has clarified that objections received after 6 PM on October 6 will not be considered.
The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was conducted from September 9 to September 26, 2024. The final answer key and results will be declared after the objections are addressed. Candidates will have to pay a fee of INR 100 per question for raising objections.
The SSC CGL exam is conducted to fill a total of 17,727 Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in various central departments and ministries. Candidates who clear the Tier 1 exam will be eligible to appear for the Tier 2 exam. The candidates who clear Tier 2 will be called for document verification.
The Tier 1 exam was held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and comprised objective-type multiple choice questions. The exam had a total of 100 questions. Candidates were awarded 2 marks for each correct answer and 0.50 marks were deducted for every wrong answer. The Tier 2 exam is expected to be conducted in December 2024.
