**New Delhi:** Nissan India today launched the updated version of its popular compact SUV, the Magnite. This facelift comes with a host of improvements, including enhanced safety features, new design elements, and a powerful engine.
The new Magnite boasts a refreshed exterior with a chrome-laden hexagonal grille, redesigned headlights, and L-shaped LED daytime running lights. It also features new alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the Magnite remains powered by a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating 74kW of power and 95Nm of torque. The company claims the manual transmission offers a fuel efficiency of 20km/l, while the automatic transmission achieves 17.4km/l. The engine benefits from a mirror bore cylinder coating, Behr crankshaft, and electric turbo actuators.
Inside, the cabin is draped in leather, with a focus on maximizing the leather-covered surfaces. The car features a large infotainment system, a 7-inch multi-function digital instrument cluster, a stylish steering wheel, and multi-color ambient lighting.
Nissan highlights the enhanced safety features of the new Magnite. It now boasts over 40 standard safety features, including six airbags, a 360-degree camera, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, three-point seatbelt reminders, and rear parking sensors.
The new Nissan Magnite is priced at an attractive starting price of INR 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Nissan India stated that over 1.5 lakh units of the Magnite have been sold so far, and the company is confident that the updated version will continue to appeal to Indian customers.
