Rap legend Eminem has announced he will be a grandfather, revealing the news in the tear-jerking video for his new single “Temporary.” The song, featured on his latest album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce),” is a heartfelt dedication to his daughter Hailie Jade, who surprised her father at the end of the video with a “Grandpa” jersey and a photo of her ultrasound.

The video itself is a poignant montage of Eminem and Hailie’s life together, showcasing their bond over the years. It includes footage from Hailie’s wedding in May, where Eminem is visibly moved as he sees his daughter in her wedding dress and dances with her.

Hailie announced her pregnancy on Instagram, posting photos with her husband Evan McClintock and the caption, “Mom & dad est. 2025.” The couple met at Michigan State University in 2016.

“Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey, is one of two songs on the album dedicated to Eminem’s children. “Somebody Save Me,” another single featuring Jelly Roll, is a poignant apology to his kids for his shortcomings as a father.

Eminem’s 12th album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce),” was released in July and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album recently saw a resurgence in popularity following the release of its “Expanded Mourner’s Edition.”
