**Durban, South Africa** – The Hollywoodbets Dolphins Ladies are raring to go as the newly renamed Hollywoodbets Pro Series kicks off this Friday. The team will be looking to defend their Pro50 title while simultaneously aiming for improvement in the Pro20 competition.
Head Coach Angelique Taai expressed her excitement for the season, highlighting the team’s hard work during pre-season. “The ladies have been putting in the hard yards, and I can’t wait for them to show off their progress on the field,” she said.
Taai emphasized the team’s focus on T20 skills and fundamentals during pre-season, aiming to improve upon their performance in the shorter format last season. “We kept things simple and specific,” she commented.
The Dolphins Ladies will face the Fidelity Titans in a double-header on Friday, beginning with a Pro20 match in the morning, followed by a Pro50 encounter in the afternoon. The team’s captain, Nondumiso Shangase, will lead the squad, which includes newcomer Yasmeen Khan.
Despite being the defending champions in the Pro50, the Dolphins Ladies are aware of the expectations placed on them. “There will be pressure this season,” acknowledged Taai, “but we are always looking to improve on and off the field.”
