Thu Oct 03 03:58:27 UTC 2024: ## Political Strategist Prashant Kishor Launches “Jan Suraaj” Party in Bihar

**Patna, Bihar (Oct 2, 2024):** Political strategist Prashant Kishor on Wednesday officially launched his new political party, “Jan Suraaj,” in Patna. The announcement came after a two-year long “padyatra” (foot march) spanning over 3000 kilometers from Champaran to Bihar.

Kishor’s party promises to address the needs of Bihar’s people, focusing on education, employment, and economic upliftment. He has pledged to improve Bihar’s education system, provide employment opportunities, and offer a monthly pension of Rs. 2000 to senior citizens. He also announced that if his party comes to power, the current prohibition on alcohol in the state will be lifted within an hour, with the revenue generated being invested in education.

Kishor’s party manifesto will focus on the future of Bihar’s youth, aiming to create a better future for the state’s children. He criticized the current political landscape, blaming the LJP, JD(U), and BJP for failing to provide adequate opportunities for Bihar’s youth, forcing them to seek employment in other states.

Kishor emphasized that Bihar does not need special status and should not rely on Delhi for development. He believes Bihar has its own potential and can achieve self-reliance.

The party’s flag will feature the images of Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar, symbolizing the party’s commitment to inclusivity and social justice. Manoj Bharati, a resident of Madhubani, has been appointed as the interim president of the party.

Kishor’s entry into Bihar politics is expected to shake up the state’s political scene. His ambitious promises and focus on youth appeal have already drawn considerable attention, making the upcoming elections in Bihar even more intriguing.
