**Kearny, NJ -** The West Hudson Observer, a local publication serving the community for over a century, commemorates its 137th year in print. The paper, known for its comprehensive coverage of local news and events, continues to be a vital source of information for residents of West Hudson.

This week’s edition features obituaries for two long-time community members: Thomas G. Buck II, a 1995 graduate of St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, and Rose Marie Conlon, a former vice president at Equity Savings and Loan Association.

Buck, who passed away at the age of 47, was known for his adventurous spirit and love of travel. He visited 25 different countries, including multiple trips to witness the World Cup since 2002. A Celebration of Life has already taken place for Buck.

Conlon, who died peacefully at 93, was known for her love of Irish culture, her quick wit, and her dedication to her community. She worked her way up from teller to vice president at Equity Savings and Loan Association and later at Allied Building Products. She was a beloved member of the community and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
