Thu Oct 03 02:55:37 UTC 2024: ## KTR Sends Legal Notice to Minister Konda Surekha, Accuses Her of Defamation
Hyderabad: BRS Working President and Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has sent legal notices to Minister Konda Surekha, accusing her of making defamatory statements against him. KTR alleged that Surekha’s comments were motivated by political vendetta and aimed at damaging his image.
KTR expressed his disappointment, stating that it is unfortunate that a woman would use another woman’s name and that of film actors to tarnish their reputation. He pointed out that Surekha’s claims regarding phone tapping and other issues were completely false and baseless.
KTR further alleged that Surekha had misused her ministerial position by making false accusations without any evidence. He highlighted that her defamatory remarks were widely circulated in media and social media, potentially misleading the public into believing them as facts.
KTR questioned Surekha’s conduct, stating that it is astonishing for a minister to speak so irresponsibly about a fellow assembly member. He reminded Surekha that she had received a similar legal notice in April this year for making baseless accusations. Despite an earlier warning from the Election Commission, he pointed out, Surekha continues to spread misinformation.
In his legal notice, KTR demanded that Surekha retract her false statements and issue a public apology for her malicious remarks. He warned that if she fails to comply within 24 hours, he will initiate legal action, including filing a defamation suit and criminal charges.
