Wed Oct 02 17:31:11 UTC 2024: ## Bengaluru FC Hold Mumbai City to a Goalless Draw in ISL Thriller

**Mumbai, India:** Bengaluru FC maintained their unbeaten start to the Indian Super League (ISL) season with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Mumbai City FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Wednesday. The match saw both sides create numerous chances, but goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu stood tall for Bengaluru, denying Mumbai City from finding the back of the net.

The Islanders dominated possession in the first half, creating a string of dangerous opportunities. Nikolaos Karelis’ header from a Hmingthanmawia Ralte cross was expertly saved by Sandhu in the 13th minute, while Tiri’s header from a Yoell van Nieff set-piece was again thwarted by the Bengaluru goalkeeper.

Bengaluru FC responded with a solid effort from Edgar Mendez, who forced Phurba Lachenpa into a quick save in the 32nd minute. The Blues continued to press, with Jeremy Manzorro narrowly missing the target with a powerful shot just before halftime.

The second half saw both teams continue to exchange attacks, with Naorem Roshan Singh and Sivasakthi Narayanan coming close to breaking the deadlock. The final half hour of the match was evenly balanced, with both teams eventually settling for a point each after five minutes of added time.

The draw keeps Bengaluru FC at the top of the ISL table with 10 points from four games, while Mumbai City are currently in 11th place with just two points from three matches.

Bengaluru FC will face Punjab FC on October 18th, while Mumbai City return to action against FC Goa the following day.
