Wed Oct 02 16:24:37 UTC 2024: ## BJP Accuses Congress of Misleading Voters in Haryana, Highlights Development Under Their Rule

**Yamunanagar, Haryana:** Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday accused the Congress party of employing misleading tactics to garner support in the upcoming Haryana elections. Speaking at a public meeting in Yamunanagar, Singh asserted that the election was a choice between development and destruction, highlighting the BJP’s achievements during its 10 years in power.

Singh emphasized the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, citing the Rs 78,000 crore allocated for Haryana’s development compared to the Congress’s Rs 21,564 crore during their time in power. He also pointed out the BJP’s Rs 13,276 crore investment in farmers, compared to the Congress’s Rs 1,158 crore.

Highlighting the BJP’s focus on meritocratic employment, Singh stated that the youths in Haryana have received jobs based solely on their abilities. He assured the people that this practice would continue if the BJP returned to power.

“The Congress made several promises, but even if they had implemented them partially during their 50-55 years of rule, India would have become a strong country,” Singh said.

He further praised the Narendra Modi government for boosting India’s standing on the world stage, stating that India’s stature has grown significantly under the BJP’s leadership. “Earlier, the world did not take whatever India said at international fora seriously,” Singh said, “But today, if India says anything, the entire world listens carefully.”

Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi’s comparison of Congress workers to tigers, suggesting that the opposition leader lacked understanding of the dangers posed by wild animals.

Responding to Congress’s promise to restore Article 370, Singh called it a lie aimed at garnering votes. He also defended the Agnipath scheme, accusing the Congress of misleading people and defaming the recruitment program.

“The Agniveers will be given pensionable jobs and the Haryana government has said that it would give jobs to all former Agniveers from the state,” Singh asserted. He urged the Congress to refrain from spreading misinformation and baseless claims.

Singh’s speech serves as a testament to the BJP’s campaign strategy for the Haryana elections, emphasizing their development agenda and contrasting it with the Congress’s alleged misrepresentations.
