**Hyderabad, India** – Telugu actor Junior NTR has condemned Telangana minister Konda Surekha for her allegations that Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) was behind the divorce of actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), NTR called Surekha’s statements a “new low” and urged public figures, especially those in positions of responsibility, to maintain dignity and respect for privacy. He expressed disappointment at the “baseless statements” being thrown around carelessly, particularly targeting the film industry. NTR emphasized that the industry will not remain silent in the face of such allegations and urged everyone to maintain respect for each other’s boundaries.

The controversy began when Surekha alleged that KTR was responsible for the divorce and that BRS was targeting and harassing female leaders in Telangana. She also claimed that KTR was behind the early retirements and marriages of many actresses in the Telugu film industry.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu responded by requesting the minister to refrain from speculating on her personal life. She clarified that the divorce was by mutual consent and amicable, with no political conspiracy involved.

KTR has since issued a legal notice to Surekha, threatening legal action including defamation and criminal cases. He demanded a public apology within 24 hours.

The incident has sparked outrage in the Telugu film industry and beyond, highlighting the dangers of politicizing personal matters and the importance of respecting privacy in public discourse.
