Rattlai town and its surrounding areas will be celebrating Shardiya Navratri with traditional festivities starting Thursday.
The auspicious occasion will commence with Ghatasthapana, marking the beginning of the nine-day festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and other deities.
Homes will be adorned with decorations as families perform special rituals and offer prayers to their Kuldevi (family goddess) and Matarani (mother goddess).
Adding to the festive atmosphere, elaborate pandals will be set up at major intersections where vibrant Garba dances will be held. Garba mandals (groups) have been diligently practicing for the occasion, promising spectacular performances throughout the festival.
