**Copenhagen, Denmark:** Two explosions occurred near the Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen on Wednesday, sparking an immediate investigation by Danish police. While no injuries have been reported, authorities are exploring a possible connection between the blasts and the embassy.
“We are present in the Strandagervej/Lundevangsvej area, where two explosions occurred,” stated Copenhagen police in a statement on social media platform X. “No one has been injured, and we are conducting initial investigations at the scene.”
The incidents come amidst heightened tensions in the region, following a barrage of nearly 200 ballistic missiles launched by Iran towards targets in Israel. The US military actively coordinated with Israeli Defence Forces to defend against the attack, with US Naval destroyers joining Israeli air defense units to intercept incoming missiles.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Iran’s actions, calling it a “big mistake” and vowing that Tehran would face consequences. Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Forces spokesperson RAdm. Daniel Hagari described the attack as a “severe and dangerous escalation.”
The Israeli government has been on high alert since the death of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah, with Netanyahu issuing a stern warning to Iran’s Ayatollah regime. He asserted that any entity targeting Israel would face consequences and that no location in Iran or West Asia is beyond Israel’s reach.
Danish authorities are currently investigating the nature and motive behind the explosions near the Israeli Embassy.
