**Raipur, October 1, 2024:** The Chhattisgarh government has announced a “dry day” on October 2nd, Wednesday, to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The order, issued by the state government, mandates the closure of all liquor shops across the state for the entire day.

This includes all types of liquor stores, including those selling domestic, foreign, and composite liquor, under licenses such as F.L.-1 (घघ), C.S.-2 (घघ), C.S.-2 (घघ-composite), C.S.2 (ग-अहाता), C.S.2 (ग-कम्पोजिट अहाता), F.L.1 (ख-अहाता), and liquor warehouses.

The order strictly prohibits the sale, manufacture, storage, possession, and transportation of liquor throughout the state on October 2nd. This initiative aims to create a solemn atmosphere during the celebrations of the Father of the Nation’s birth anniversary.
