**Tomingley, NSW:** A horrific two-vehicle collision on the Newell Highway near Dubbo on Friday night has claimed the lives of four people, including two teenagers.

Lochie Jacobs, 18, and his best friend Joey Urban, 19, were passengers in a ute that collided with a van around 9.20pm. The ute’s driver, a 23-year-old man, was the sole survivor, sustaining suspected leg injuries. Tragically, a husband and wife, both aged 57, who were in the van, also perished at the scene.

All four deceased were residents of the Central West region of NSW.

Tributes have poured in online for Urban and Jacobs, highlighting their positive personalities and the impact their loss has had on their loved ones.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred just hours into the school holidays. Inspector Rob Bevern has urged drivers to be cautious, reminding them to “drive to the conditions, drive to the speed limit and don’t die for a deadline.”

This tragic incident brings the total number of road fatalities in NSW to 249 this year.
