**New Delhi, September 30:** A 23-year-old woman, preparing for the “GATE” exam, was found dead in her rented room in Katwaria Sarai, south-west Delhi, on Sunday night. Police suspect suicide.
The deceased, identified as Riya Bharti, hailed from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. She was living in the room with her boyfriend, Pार्थ, since July, according to her landlord, Dalbir Singh.
Police received information about the incident around 8:37 pm on Sunday. Upon reaching the spot, they found the room locked from inside. After breaking the door open, they discovered the woman’s body hanging from the ceiling fan with a piece of cloth.
No suicide note was found at the scene. The police are currently investigating the matter.
