**Galle, Sri Lanka:** Prabath Jayasuriya, the left-arm spinner who made his Test debut in 2022 at the age of 30, has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in home conditions. In just 16 Tests, he has already claimed nine five-wicket hauls, eight of which have come in Galle.
Jayasuriya’s most notable performance came against New Zealand in the first Test of the 2024 series in Galle. He took nine wickets in the match, including a crucial five-wicket haul in the fourth innings that helped Sri Lanka defend a target of 275 and secure a 63-run victory.
