Sat Sep 28 19:59:04 UTC 2024: ## Indore Artist Honors Lata Mangeshkar with Unique Portrait Made from Song Lyrics
**Indore, September 27:** An Indore artist, Milind Dhawale, has created a touching tribute to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar using the opening lines of her hit songs. The 31×23 inch black-and-white portrait cleverly incorporates the lyrics into the outline of Mangeshkar’s face, each line strategically placed to reflect the song’s meaning.
For example, the line “Bindiya chamkegi, choodi khankegi” is written where a bindi would be on Mangeshkar’s forehead, while “Dheere dheere bol koi sun na le” forms her lips. The artist even chose to write “Ae mere watan ke logon” on her forehead, believing the patriotic song to be deeply etched in the hearts of Indian citizens.
The lyrics are so meticulously woven into the portrait that they are only discernible upon closer inspection. From afar, they appear as simple lines, creating a unique and symbolic representation of Mangeshkar’s legacy.
Dhawale completed the portrait for Mangeshkar’s 90th birthday and attempted to present it to her, but sadly, his wish remained unfulfilled. The artist expressed his regret at not being able to share his creation with the legendary singer, who passed away in February 2022.
This heartfelt tribute to Lata Mangeshkar is a testament to her enduring impact on Indian music and culture. Dhawale’s innovative artwork serves as a poignant reminder of her timeless legacy and her continued presence in the hearts of millions.
