**Hyderabad, India:** Jr NTR’s highly anticipated action thriller “Devara” has taken the Indian box office by storm, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark within just two days of its release. The film, also starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, opened with an impressive Rs 82.5 crore (nett) on its first day, and maintained its momentum by earning Rs 40 crore (nett) on its second day, bringing the total collection to a staggering Rs 122.19 crore (nett).
Released across India in five languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada – “Devara” has captured the attention of audiences from diverse linguistic backgrounds. The Telugu version emerged as the top performer, contributing Rs 29.4 crore to the second-day collection, followed by the Hindi version, which raked in Rs 9 crore.
“Devara: Part 1” marks the return of Jr NTR after his global success with “RRR,” and his dual role as Devara and Varadha in this power-packed narrative set against a coastal backdrop has resonated strongly with audiences.
The film’s exceptional performance can be attributed to its gripping storyline, stunning visuals, and the star power of its lead actors. “Devara” has also benefited from strong word-of-mouth publicity and a significant buzz on social media.
With an impressive 80.25 per cent occupancy rate in Hyderabad, “Devara” has commanded audiences across different show timings, particularly night shows, which boasted a 94 per cent occupancy rate.
As “Devara: Part 1” continues its triumphant run at the box office, expectations are high for the film to break further box office records and cement its position as one of the biggest hits of the year.
