**Hyderabad, India:** Jr. NTR’s highly anticipated action film, ‘Devara’, has stormed the box office, smashing records and crossing the ₹200 crore mark in just two days. The film, which had a break-even target of approximately ₹195 crores, collected a staggering ₹172 crores worldwide on its opening day.
The film’s success was evident across various regions. In the Telugu states, ‘Devara’ raked in ₹82 crores, while Karnataka contributed ₹12 crores, Tamil Nadu ₹2.5 crores, Kerala ₹60 lakhs, and the North Indian markets brought in ₹10 crores. The film’s overseas collection added a significant ₹49 crores to its total.
Day two saw ‘Devara’ continuing its winning streak, collecting an estimated ₹50 crores in India. This includes ₹29 crores from the Telugu states, ₹9 crores from the Hindi market, and ₹1 crore from Tamil Nadu. Trade experts estimate the film’s worldwide collection for day two to be around ₹100 crores, pushing the total to a monumental ₹272 crores.
‘Devara’, directed by Koratala Siva, features a powerful villainous performance by Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, and the star cast also includes Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Shruti Marathe, Shine Tom Chacko, Narayana, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, Ajay, and Abimanyu Singh. The film’s music, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, has further enhanced its appeal.
