Popular podcaster and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, has regained control of his YouTube channels after a hacking incident on September 25th.
The hackers had deleted all videos from both the “Ranveer Allahbadia” and “BeerBiceps” channels, renaming them with titles promoting Tesla CEO Elon Musk and US presidential candidate Donald Trump. YouTube temporarily removed the channels following the hack.
Both channels have now been fully restored with their original content, including 111 videos on the Ranveer Allahbadia channel (9.4 million subscribers) and 280 videos on the BeerBiceps channel (280 videos). While all videos are accessible, a glitch persists on the Home sections of both pages, displaying a “This channel doesn’t have any content” message.
Allahbadia addressed the hack on Instagram, assuring his followers that the situation was under control and the incident was not a publicity stunt. He stated that his team was working with YouTube to resolve the issue.
This incident highlights the importance of protecting social media accounts from hacking. The article provides several tips to secure accounts, including enabling two-factor authentication, using strong passwords, being wary of phishing scams, limiting access to third-party apps, and regularly monitoring account activity.
