**Lucknow, India** – While Lucknow is renowned for its historical monuments, the city is embracing a new era of sustainable tourism with the inauguration of several innovative parks built entirely from recycled waste materials.
This World Tourism Day, Lucknow is showcasing its commitment to environmental consciousness with three newly developed parks: the Waste-to-Wonder Park, the Jurassic Park, and the Lucknow Happiness Park.
The Waste-to-Wonder Park, aptly nicknamed “Yeh park nahin dekha toh UP nahin dekha” (If you haven’t seen this park, you haven’t seen UP), is a unique attraction featuring miniature replicas of iconic monuments like the Bada Imambada, Jhansi Fort, and the Taj Mahal, all constructed using discarded materials like iron scrap. The park also boasts an open-air theatre, food court, and stalls showcasing local crafts.
The Jurassic Park, located within the Janeshwar Mishra Park, transports visitors back to the age of dinosaurs with life-sized robotic installations. These impressive robotic dinosaurs, imported from Japan and Taiwan, mimic the movements and appearance of ancient creatures like the Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor.
The Lucknow Happiness Park, situated in the Chowk area, is a vibrant space filled with sculptures and artifacts crafted from recycled materials. Tourists can enjoy numerous selfie points inspired by Bollywood movies and colorful emoji structures.
The LDA is also enhancing the existing Globe Park and Begum Hazrat Mahal Park in the Qaiserbagh area. The iconic 58-year-old globe at Globe Park is being replaced with a rotating stainless-steel globe, further adding to the city’s appeal.
These innovative parks demonstrate Lucknow’s dedication to sustainability while offering tourists unique and engaging experiences. With their focus on environmental responsibility and captivating attractions, these parks are poised to become major draws for visitors to the city.
