**Liverpool, England** – New signing Federico Chiesa impressed in his full debut for Liverpool, playing 60 minutes in the Carabao Cup tie against West Ham on Wednesday. The Italian winger provided an assist for Diogo Jota and showed positive signs of match fitness after a difficult summer at Juventus.

Manager Arne Slot expressed satisfaction with Chiesa’s performance, highlighting his lack of playing time in recent months. “It was pleasing to see that he could already play 60 minutes because he hasn’t played a lot, maybe hasn’t played hardly any minutes in the last three or four months,” said Slot.

Chiesa was excluded from Thiago Motta’s plans at Juventus and forced to train individually for most of the summer. Slot emphasized the importance of match minutes for Chiesa, who joined Liverpool on the final day of the transfer window.

“He has to get used to the club, he has to get used to his teammates, he has to adjust to the playing style,” said Slot. “It was very good to see how match fit he already is so we can use him if we need him.”
