**San Francisco, CA -** Cloudflare announced today a new initiative designed to empower startups with the resources and support they need to succeed. The Cloudflare Startup Program provides up to $250,000 in credits for use on the Cloudflare Developer Platform, offering startups access to a wide range of tools and services.
“Founders face enough challenges without having to worry about exorbitant costs,” said [Cloudflare spokesperson], emphasizing the program’s aim to remove financial barriers for early-stage companies. “We want to support founders from everywhere on earth. Be bold and keep building!”
The program offers credits for all Developer Platform products, including Argo and Cache Reserve, and provides participants with three Enterprise-level domains. This grants access to features like CDN, DDoS protection, DNS, WAF, Zero Trust, and other security and performance solutions.
Beyond the Developer Platform, startups can leverage Cloudflare’s speed and performance optimization tools, including Images, Argo, and Early Hints, as well as security features like the Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS Alerts, and bundled protection plans.
To be eligible for the program, startups must meet the following criteria:
* Building a software-based product or service
* Founded within the last 5 years (2019-2024)
* Have between $50,000 – $5,000,000 in funding
Startups who haven’t raised at least $50,000 may be eligible for lower credit amounts. Additionally, bonus criteria such as participation in an approved accelerator can further strengthen applications.
“We are excited to see what you will build,” said [Cloudflare spokesperson]. “We encourage startups to share their projects and utilize the resources we have to offer.”
The Cloudflare Startup Program is part of the company’s broader commitment to supporting developers and fostering innovation. “We believe in the power of open source and are committed to programs like this to empower founders building the next big thing,” said [Cloudflare spokesperson].
