Mumbai, India – Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024. While acknowledging the bravery of all politicians, Khan specifically lauded Gandhi’s transformation, stating that he has “turned things around by working very hard” and changed public perception.
Khan, who himself prefers to remain apolitical, remarked that Gandhi was once met with disrespect for his actions and words. However, he believes Gandhi’s dedication has altered this perception.
“I think what Rahul Gandhi has done has also been very impressive,” Khan said, “because there was a point where people were disrespecting things he was saying and things he was doing. And I think he’s turned that around by working very hard, in a very interesting way.”
The actor further emphasized his own non-political stance, stating that he has no intention of entering politics. “I’m not a politician,” Khan said, “I don’t really want to be a politician. And if I had strong views, I think I would become one and then share them in that way.”
Khan’s comments on Gandhi have sparked further discussion on the Congress leader’s recent political trajectory, especially in the lead up to the 2024 general elections.
