Thu Sep 26 13:00:23 UTC 2024: ## Kroenke Sports & Entertainment Breaks Through Blackout, Launches Altitude+ Streaming Service

**Denver, CO -** Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) has announced a new streaming service, Altitude+, that will bring Nuggets and Avalanche games to fans across the Denver area, marking the end of a five-year carriage dispute with Comcast.

Starting in October when the 2024-25 season begins, Altitude+ will offer a paid subscription for $19.95 per month, granting access to all games not aired exclusively on national networks. Additionally, 20 Nuggets and 20 Avs games will be broadcast over-the-air for free on My20 (KTVD-20), with 10 of those games also airing on KUSA-9, the Denver-area NBC affiliate.

The move comes after years of frustration for Nuggets and Avalanche fans who were unable to watch their teams play due to the ongoing dispute between KSE and Comcast. This new approach combines traditional over-the-air broadcasting with a new, self-started streaming service, mirroring a trend seen in other sports franchises.

“It’s huge news. Great news,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone. “The most important part of that is for our fans. I feel we have the best fans in the NBA, and they’ve been a huge part of our success.”

The Altitude+ app will be available for download on Apple and Android devices at launch, with a smart TV version expected shortly after. The service will also include pregame and postgame coverage, as well as the network’s standard college coverage.

KSE president of team and media operations, Kevin Demoff, emphasized the commitment to maintaining a consistent viewing experience for fans regardless of how they choose to watch.

“It’s important to us that no matter where you watch our broadcast, on Channel 9, Channel 20, on Altitude+, on Altitude, that it looks and feels the same,” he said.

The new streaming service and over-the-air broadcasts mark a turning point for both KSE and Denver sports fans, offering a renewed opportunity to connect with the recent successes of the Nuggets and Avalanche, including their back-to-back championship wins in 2022 and 2023.

“What I’m most excited about is that our passionate fans can now see Nikola Jokic play basketball,” said Demoff. “We’ve had two MVPs. We’ve had two titles. And unfortunately those haven’t been on air. I’m most pleased that now there’s an option that gets all of our games on air.”
