Fri Sep 27 05:55:28 UTC 2024: ## Mumbai Braces for More Rain as IMD Extends Orange Alert

**Mumbai, September 27:** After a day of heavy downpour that brought the city to a standstill, Mumbai is facing another round of intense rain, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) extending an orange alert for today.

While the rain subsided briefly on Wednesday, the city woke up to cloudy skies and showers, with more heavy rain expected throughout the day. Commuters should brace themselves for delays as waterlogging and traffic jams are anticipated, particularly on the Western Express Highway.

The IMD has also issued a red alert for Nashik and orange alerts for Palghar, Pune, Nandurbar, and Dhule. A yellow alert is in place for almost every city in Maharashtra.

Temperatures in Mumbai are expected to range between 23°C and 31°C with steady showers and cloudy skies. This pattern is expected to persist until September 29, with a slight temperature rise to 24°C–25°C.

With the city drenched, commuters are advised to plan extra travel time, avoid waterlogged areas, and stay updated on weather reports.

**Note:** The information about the Aprilia RSV4 x EX3MA has been excluded from the news article as it is unrelated to the Mumbai rain situation.
