**Taipei, Taiwan** – MSI is expanding its innovative Project Zero motherboard line, bringing its unique rear-facing connector design to new Intel and AMD platforms. This revolutionary concept, first introduced in 2023, aims to eliminate visible cables for a cleaner, more efficient build.
The new Project Zero motherboards will include models for both Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake and AMD’s AM5 platforms, offering users a clutter-free experience with improved airflow and thermal performance.
MSI plans to release three Project Zero motherboards for Intel’s next-gen chipsets, such as the Z890, and two for AMD’s AM5 platform. The company will also offer a new full-ATX case, the MAG Pano 110R PZ, specifically designed to accommodate the rear-facing connector configuration with its 270-degree tempered glass panels. This will complement the existing mATX Pano 100R PZ case.
While the rear cable routing offers a significant advantage in terms of aesthetics and airflow, it does present installation challenges. MSI’s new case, along with existing Project Zero-compatible cases from Corsair, addresses this issue.
Although Project Zero aims to minimize cable clutter, graphics card power cables remain a challenge. MSI is yet to offer a solution for concealing these cables, which currently require routing from the front or side of the case.
Overall, the expansion of the Project Zero motherboard lineup promises a significant advancement in PC building, offering a clean, unobstructed design that prioritizes efficiency and thermal performance. However, the challenge of managing graphics card power cables remains an area for future development.
