Fri Sep 27 04:07:56 UTC 2024: ## Rain Threatens to Derail Second Test Between India and Bangladesh in Kanpur
**Kanpur, India:** The second Test match between India and Bangladesh, scheduled to begin in Kanpur on Friday, is facing a potential rain disruption. Weather forecasts predict thunderstorms and rain on the first two days of the match, with cloudy skies and possible showers expected on the third day. Days four and five appear to have clear weather.
The rain threat comes as India seeks to secure a series win after their dominant victory in the first Test. Bangladesh, however, will be aiming for a comeback, hoping to level the series.
Adding to the uncertainty, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has been forced to restrict access to a section of the Green Park Stadium due to safety concerns.
A structural assessment by the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) identified a risk in Balcony C, deemed unsafe to accommodate its full capacity. Only 1700 tickets will be sold for this stand, significantly less than its usual capacity of 4800. Repair work on the stand is ongoing.
With the weather and stadium safety issues casting a shadow, the second Test in Kanpur is set to be an unpredictable affair. It remains to be seen whether the match will be affected by the weather or if Bangladesh can overcome the odds and stage a successful comeback.
