Thu Sep 26 12:33:16 UTC 2024: ## Bangladesh Faces Tough Test Against Unbeatable India in Kanpur

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has acknowledged the daunting challenge of facing India in a Test series, calling it the toughest assignment for his team. Despite their recent success in Pakistan, Shakib believes India’s dominance at home, coupled with their overall strength, makes them practically unbeatable.

“India is the number one team in the World Championship at this moment. They are probably unbeatable at home,” Shakib said, referencing India’s impressive undefeated streak at home for over 4000 days.

The Bangladesh captain highlighted the quality of India’s bowling attack, stating that pitch conditions become less relevant when facing such formidable talent. “When you play against a team like India… pitches don’t matter much because they will obviously have their weapon with which they can attack us,” he said.

Shakib also urged his young batting lineup to step up and score big runs, believing that reaching a score of 350-400 in the first innings would give them a significant advantage.

While acknowledging India’s superiority, Shakib expressed hope that Bangladesh can improve on their performance from the first Test in Chennai and put up a strong fight in Kanpur. He drew a comparison between their recent series wins in Pakistan and their struggles against India, attributing the difference to the experience and overall strength of the Indian team.

Despite the uphill battle, Shakib remains optimistic and sees this series as an opportunity for Bangladesh to prove their mettle against the world’s best.
