**CERRITOS, Calif., Sept. 26, 2024** – GEN Restaurant Group, Inc. (GEN), owner of the popular Korean BBQ chain, announced the grand opening of its newest location in Maui, Hawaii. This marks the fourth GEN Korean BBQ restaurant in Hawaii and the 41st nationwide.

The opening comes as part of GEN’s strategic expansion plan and demonstrates the company’s continued success in the region. Hawaii, known for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture, attracts a significant number of tourists annually. However, rising inflation and import costs have led to a demand for value-oriented dining options. GEN Korean BBQ aims to fill this gap by offering an extensive menu of high-quality meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables, allowing diners to cook their own meals on in-table grills at competitive prices.

“We are excited to add our Maui location to GEN’s growing portfolio of restaurants,” said David Kim, Co-Chief Executive Officer of GEN. “The success of our existing Hawaii locations, generating approximately $6 million to $8 million in annual revenue each, demonstrates the strong customer demand for our concept in the islands. GEN continues to expand aggressively, with plans to open 10-11 new locations across the country by the end of the year. The company has set a long-term goal of reaching 75-80 locations by 2026, with future expansion in Hawaii including the Big Island.

The new Maui location is situated at 80 Ho’okele Street Suite 430 Kahului, HI 96732, within the Puunene Shopping Center. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
