Fri Sep 27 16:24:02 UTC 2024: ## Jr NTR’s “Devara: Part 1” Divides Audiences with Mixed Reviews

The highly anticipated Telugu action saga “Devara: Part 1,” starring Jr NTR in a double role, premiered in theaters worldwide on Friday. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, has garnered mixed reactions from audiences. While Jr NTR’s performance and the film’s action sequences have received praise, some viewers find the second half predictable and underwhelming.

Fans of Jr NTR are thrilled with his performance, hailing him as the “Man of Masses.” Many have lauded the film’s visual spectacle and epic storyline. One user on X (formerly Twitter) stated: “Just watched #Devara and it’s a visual spectacle! Stunning action sequences, powerful performances, and an epic storyline. A must-watch for all cinema lovers!”

However, other moviegoers have expressed disappointment, citing a predictable second half that failed to live up to expectations. Film critic and trade analyst Sumit Kadel noted: “Devara first half is SOLID. Pre-interval last 30 minutes + interval block is very good… NTR is truly the MAN OF MASSES.” But, one review on X called the film a “KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT.”

Another critic, Venky Reviews, commented on the uneven pacing: “#Devara A Passable Action Drama with a Good 1st Half but a 2nd half that was dragged in parts till the pre-climax. Koratala showed a lot of promise in his writing in the 1st half and setup the story well. However, the 2nd half should’ve been racier and became too predictable…”

Set in the 1980s-90s, “Devara” follows the journey of a fearless man from a coastal region who embarks on a perilous mission to save his people. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Shruti Marathe, Srikanth, and Shinde Tom Chacko.

Despite the mixed reviews, “Devara: Part 1” is generating significant buzz and is sure to draw large audiences, particularly Jr NTR’s devoted fanbase. It remains to be seen if the film will be able to overcome the criticisms and solidify its place in the Telugu film industry.
