**New York, NY** – Data platform Quorum, which aims to empower publishers and advertisers in the open web, has secured $2 million in seed funding led by Crush Ventures and Dudley Fund. The company seeks to provide a level playing field for publishers, helping them compete with walled gardens like Google and Meta.
Quorum leverages mobile behavior data from sources like Apple’s IDFA and Google’s GAID, alongside its own geo-fencing technology, to create robust audience insights. These insights enable advertisers to target individuals who have physically interacted with brands, offering a more accurate and effective way to reach consumers compared to traditional online targeting methods.
“The dollars are shifting away from legacy organizations like newsrooms and television studios into environments like YouTube and Meta,” explained Quorum CEO Ezra Doty. “We’re seeing a decline in quality content being created as a result.”
Quorum’s platform, which is accessible through major DSPs including The Trade Desk and Google DV360, offers a powerful alternative for publishers struggling to compete in the digital advertising landscape. By providing granular data and targeting capabilities, Quorum aims to bridge the gap between the walled gardens and the open web, empowering publishers to regain their rightful share of ad revenue.
The new funding will allow Quorum to further develop its platform and expand its client base. The company is also focusing on the potential of CTV advertising, hoping to increase its presence in always-on marketing campaigns.
“There’s all this great content out there, and we want to help the creators of it unlock their true revenue potential,” concluded Doty.
